THE PRESENTERS:

Thirty years ago, Jane Craig was introduced to tracking with her first beagle, mentored by a tracking teacher who had learned from Wilson Davis. Five years later Fran Smith caught the tracking bug from the same teacher.

Four beagles and two Weimaraners for Jane and a Standard Schnauzer, Springers, a Lab and a Golden for Fran  later, they are convinced that there is no greater joy than following behind a tracking dog.     Although they have also enjoyed working with their dogs in agility, obedience, conformation, hunting retrieving, and pointing, the first title their dogs have always earned has been a TD.    They have TDXs on beagles, Weim, Standard Schnauzer, Springer and VSTs on a Springer, a Beagle and a Lab.  For a couple of decades, Jane and Fran have been training new trackers and regularly instructing a tracking group in South Florida.

Both have been judging since the 90’s and have judged over a hundred tests, laid miles of tracks and their students have found tracking success including TDX and VST titles.
