Joan began competing in agility in 1993. She is nationally known for the wide variety of breeds and number of dogs that she has handled. With over 300 agility titles on dogs ranging from the 8-inch class to the 30-inch class, from the herding, sporting, terrier, non-sporting, toy and hound groups, she has had the experience to work with all breeds and sizes of dogs in the sport.
Joan is a top agility instructor, World Team member, and AKC Judge. She uses positive training methods to work toward the goal of developing the best agility team that is possible. We are very lucky to have her for this two-day seminar.
During this seminar, Joan will work with both Novice and Advanced level teams. Novice teams are limited to 12 working teams and advanced teams are limited to 15 working teams. Novice teams must be able to perform all obstacles and be sequencing. Advanced teams should be competing at the OPEN or EXCELLENT level. There is unlimited space for auditors.
Novice teams will work during the morning sessions and advanced teams will work during the afternoon sessions. While novice teams are working in the morning, advanced handlers will audit, take notes, build courses, and set bars. During the afternoon, novice handlers will do the same for the advanced teams. Auditors may also help with course building and bar setting. All participants are encouraged to take notes. Note taking materials will be provided for all participants and auditors.

Afternoon Session: 1:00pm – 4:00pm
